Internet-bound wrestling fans–no offense, dear reader–can often be rotten, but they can just as often do some very cool stuff. Like this project recapping every title change in 2016.
Reddit user BatNorris brings us a massive montage showing every single title change that occurred in this wild year for WWE.
Remember the Alberto Del Rio versus Kalisto feud over the US Title? Remember that very strange 24 hours where Zack Ryder was Intercontinental Champion? Remember how WWE created four new titles this year, and made a massive change to their top women’s prize?
Well, prepare to be reminded.
With all that in mind, it’s no surprise that half the video took place after SummerSlam, with so many new titles created following the brand split. And, of course, too many Raw Women’s Championship title wins to count.
The video culminates with American Alpha’s victory over the new Wyatt Family on the final SmackDown of the year.
It’s a fun reminder of WWE’s 2016, though, and a potent reminder of how much cool stuff happened this year. Sure, we had a lackluster WrestleMania with a Roman main event, but then there’s AJ Styles. Miz and Ziggler. About half of Charlotte and Sasha’s matches were really cool.
