Ring in the New Year With a Classic WWF Celebration

New Year’s Eve is almost here. While there won’t be any WWE programming to ring in 2017, that wasn’t the case back in 1990. Here for you, a nice blast from the past. Enjoy this 1990 New Year’s Eve episode of WWF Prime Time Wrestling.

Back in the days before Monday Night RAW and Smackdown were the keystones of WWE programming, there was WWF Prime Time Wrestling. The show was handled in a slightly different way. Matches were shown, but there were also a couple hosts who were there to lead the proceedings. Those hosts? The unimpeachable, unmatchable duo of Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby “The Brain” Heenan. Monsoon and Heenan hosted Prime Time Wrestling for years, and their chemistry was fantastic. The Brain was one of the funniest people to ever grace pro wrestling, and Gorilla was a great foil for him. A big New Year’s Eve celebration just gave them more to play with.

On top of that, there are plenty of iconic, classic wrestlers in action during the two hours of this program. If you want a little throwback wrestling to end 2016 on a high note, this is for you.
