The ongoing rivalry and suspicious friendship between Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton has been one of the biggest stories on SmackDown since the brand split. So what’s planned for the pair at WrestleMania? Read on.
According to the earlier leaked list of WrestleMania matches, Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton are scheduled to go one on one at the big event. Wrestling Observer Newsletter also notes that WWE has a specific plan in mind for how to get there.
Currently, the plan is for Orton to win the Rumble and Wyatt to win the WWE Championship in the upcoming Elimination Chamber match.
It’s important to note the “currently” up there, because while Orton vs. Wyatt is almost a certainty for WrestleMania, how we get there is very much subject to change. That’s especially true with the Rumble this Sunday hosting stars from both Raw and SmackDown.
But Bray Wyatt is scheduled for a title run 2017, and this is as good a place as any for that run to begin.
And other questions about the Wyatt story–like what happens with Luke Harper–are still up in the air. He was RKOed by Orton and Sister Abigailed by Wyatt on the last episode of SmackDown, so it seems unlikely things will be rosy between Harper and the family while this story continues.
