Luke Harper was the workhorse of the Wyatt Family, providing excellent matches while Bray delivered the promos and the two larger members provided the physical power. A leg injury out him out of commission for most of the year, and since he missed the draft we’ve been left wondering which brand he would return to.
Bray Wyatt and Erick Rowan, who together with Harper made up the original incarnation of the Wyatt Family, are both on SmackDown, so it would make sense for him to end up on the blue brand to reform the faction.
However, according to a report from PWInsider, it seems that Harper is expected to make his return on Raw. No word on when, exactly, that return is to occur, but with Harper frequently showing up backstage on Monday nights I would bet sooner rather than later.
Harper’s in-ring performances speak for themselves, but WWE has never invested in the character development necessary to set him apart from the rest of the Wyatts. A singles run would require a major change on that front. On the other hand, Raw has the big, intimidating fourth Wyatt, Braun Strowman, and a tag team with Harper would make sense for both men.
We’re excited for Luke Harper’s return in any case. Do you feel the same way? Let us know in the comments.
