We’re closing in on the end of the year, which in WWE terms means it’s time to start thinking about WrestleMania season. The big story for the past few years is always the opponent for the Undertaker. Who will the legendary wrestler face in his annual return?
However, recent photos with fans have some concerned about whether the Deadman will be returning at all. Multiple recent pictures show the Undertaker on crutches.

Taker–otherwise known as Mark Calaway–is over 50 years old, and the wear of life in as physically demanding an arena as pro wrestling means that this sort of toll is not unexpected.
However, there’s been speculation for years about whether “this” WrestleMania would finally be the last. It’s entirely possible that whatever has Taker on crutches is a short term issue, possibly even the result of surgery required to get him back into ring shape in time for the next show.

But the Undertaker’s matches have been slowing to a crawl, and it’s difficult not to put that on his advancing age. With the exception of his Hell in a Cell match with Lesnar in 2015, none of his in-ring performances have been especially exciting for several years. The immortal mystique is starting to fade.
Regardless of whether a match is booked for WrestleMania 33, you can expect Undertaker to be there, as he’ll certainly headline a Hall of Fame class the instant he retires.
What do you think? Does Taker have one last match in him, or is it time to hang things up for good?
