The Viper is back after a brief bit of paternity leave, but he’s not yet back to full-time–not quite.

According to Wrestling Inc, Randy Orton will be working a limited schedule in December following Monday’s SmackDown in Tyler, TX. He’ll still be appearing on TV and PPV following that, but will not return to live events until the December 26th event at Madison Square Garden. So if SmackDown house shows are in your town this month, don’t expect to see the Apex Predator.

Orton’s got a big match this Sunday, tagging with Bray Wyatt to challenge for Heath Slater and Rhyno’s Tag Team Championship.

Given the recent addition to the Orton family, it’s little surprise that Randy’s taking an extra bit of time off each week. Few in the WWE seem to earn those kind of breaks, however.
