Shane McMahon took a nasty hit in the 5-on-5 traditional Survivor Series match last night. He was set to deliver his signature coast-to-coast kick against Roman Reigns, but Reigns speared him out of the air.
It’s tough to tell exactly what happened–whether Roman collided with Shane’s head in mid-air or if it was a bad landing–but Shane appeared legitimately dazed after the spot. He rolled his shoulder out of the pinning attempt when it seemed clear he was supposed to be eliminated at that moment. The referee declared Shane unfit to compete, and the SmackDown GM was escorted out of the ring by WWE medical staff.
We’re hearing reports that confirm Shane was legitimately hurt, but seems to be doing okay. No official word on whether he suffered a concussion.
Even with reports that Shane will be okay, it was a scary moment–especially with his kids watching from the front row. The cameras caught Randy Orton appearing to briefly break character to offer a few words of comfort to Shane’s family.

Orton confirmed that later on.
I'm a father. I know what it's like to have your kids ringside when shit goes sideways… https://t.co/9rtaCp48sJ

A class act from the Viper all the way. Here’s hoping that everything is all right with Shane, and that we’ll see him back on SmackDown this Tuesday.
