New statements from Clutch City Promotions and Lone Star Championship Wrestling have provided an update on Alberto El Patrón “no showing” an event on July 12, which was an event called “Bustin for Autism.” As previously reported, the former WWE Champion reportedly did not appear during the event, and did not give the promotion any notice beforehand that he would not be attending as previously agreed upon.

Initially, Clutch City Promotions and Lone Star Championship Wrestling released statements apologizing to the fans that paid to see the promoted event, which included El Patrón on the card. They also claimed that even 24 hours after the event ran, they had still not heard from El Patrón or his representatives about why he did not honor the agreement to appear.

Clutch City Promotions and Lone Star Championship Wrestling then released statements claiming that they had finally heard from El Patrón’s camp on July 14, but that they cannot reveal why he didn’t show for the event. Clutch City Promotions posted the following statement regarding the situation,

“We have received word from Alberto’s camp and were provided with information as to why he did not appear at the “Bustin for Autism” event last night in Houston (Pasadena) TX. Although we have documentation that will clearly define the situation in full we are choosing to keep this a private matter at this time. However, we are anticipating that Alberto’s camp will release a statement and take action to rectify the situation.”

Lone Star Championship Wrestling then provided a statement relating to Clutch City Promotions’ on their official website, saying,

“Update on Alberto El Patron “no show” Situation.

Earlier on Monday, Lone Star Championship Wrestling and Clutch City Productions issued statements regarding Alberto El Patron’s absence from his scheduled participation in Sunday night’s Bustin for Autism event. Clutch City Productions has just released this update, and Lone Star Championship Wrestling will follow their lead in not commenting further at this time.”

It is still unknown why El Patrón was not able to work the event. WrestlingRumors.net will keep updating this story as more details become available.

Editor’s Note:

Man. This sounds super serious. I hope everything is ok with El Patrón and his family.
