The latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has provided an update on Cesaro and Tyson Kidd’s “Brass Ring Club” moniker that the duo is hoping WWE gets behind. As previously reported, Kidd, Cesaro, and Adam Rose have been wearing t-shirts that say “Brass Ring Club” and are modeled after NJPW faction “The Bullet Club’s” logo, but they aren’t WWE manufactured.
Cesaro and Kidd, who have been calling themselves both the “Brass Ring Club” and the “Masters of the WWE Universe,” created the t-shirt in direct response to words that McMahon had to say about the majority of the WWE locker room during his appearance on “The Steve Austin Show.” McMahon said Cesaro is a talent who just can’t connect with the fans, even though they want him to, and there are a lot of “kids” in the back that just aren’t “hungry enough” to reach out for the “brass ring” anymore and run with it.
Following these statements from McMahon, Cesaro took to social media to refute the claims and let the WWE Universe know that he will have a box of brass rings soon. He began teaming up with another under-performing superstar (in terms of success) in Kidd, and began training at the WWE Performance Center, working on new tag team maneuvers and their chemistry so that they can shine as the latest tag team in the division.
Time will tell if WWE will begin labeling the duo, or trio, the “Brass Ring Club,” but they are definitely working hard to achieve greatness out of a new opportunity and want both the company and the fans to realize it.
Editor’s Note:
I’m just glad they’ve teamed up, because they are hella good in the ring together.
