PWInsider.com is reporting that several segments that were originally scripted for “SummerSlam,” including one featuring Big Show and Mark Henry,  were cut just before the show. As recently seen, Henry and Show have been working as a tag team as of late.

According to the report, many changes were made to the “SummerSlam” script during the afternoon prior to the event going live on Aug. 17. WWE officials reportedly decided that the company needed to focus more on the in-ring product during the PPV, than take time off of the show to film segments backstage.

Henry and Show are set to feud with The Wyatt Family going forward, as seen during the Aug. 18 edition of “Monday Night Raw.” Big Show will face Erick Rowan in singles competition during the Aug. 19 edition of “WWE Main Event.”

Editor’s Note:
Glad that focused on the in-ring competition at “SummerSlam.” That show was freakin’ awesome.
