WWE.com released news today of a partnership between Sean “Diddy” Combs and the WWE. The press release begins stating, “Three-time Grammy Award winner Sean “Diddy” Combs will perform live April 7 at WrestleMania 29 in front of more than 70,000 fans in attendance at MetLife Stadium with millions watching worldwide on pay-per-view.” Combs’ song, “Coming Home,” is this year’s WrestleMania theme song.
The article goes on to confirm that Combs will also be co-hosting the Superstars for Sandy Relief party with WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon. He will also serve as an ambassador for WWE’s Be a STAR anti-bullying campaign.
Combs comments about the partnership saying, “WrestleMania is one of the biggest spectacles in the world and I’m looking forward to performing in front of millions on April 7. I’ve always been a fan of WWE and I’m excited to support these two important causes, Superstars for Sandy Relief and the Be a STAR anti-bullying initiative.”
This is not Comb’s first appearance at WrestleMania. At WrestleMania 28, he introduced Machine Gun Kelly, who performed that year’s theme song, “Invincible.” Combs was involved in another WWE event, the 2010 Tribute to the Troops, where he performed the hit, “I’ll be missing you.”
