Paige Returns During May 18 “Monday Night Raw”

During the May 18 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” former WWE Divas Champion Paige returned to WWE programming. As previously reported, Paige had been off filming WWE Studios’ upcoming holiday picture, “Santa’s Little Helper” with The Miz.

Paige returned during a WWE Divas Championship Match featuring Nikki Bella and challenger Naomi. Stephanie McMahon told Brie Bella to stay backstage during the bout, leaving the Divas Champion out for the match by herself against Naomi and her husband’s cousin, Tamina Snuka.

To even the odds as the match turned into chaos, Paige ran in to make the save for Bella. Paige is the actual No. 1 Contender for the Divas Championship, as she defeated a mess of other females, including Naomi, in a No. 1 Contender Divas Battle Royal just before she left to film “Santa’s Little Helper.”

Naomi made the Divas Championship Match challenge to Bella following the win that she and Snuka picked up over The Bella Twins at WWE “Payback” on May 17. Snuka cost Naomi the title by attacking Bella during the finish of the match, then Paige ran in to save the champion.

However, her true intentions were shown, when she dropped Bella after saving her. She then held up the Divas title and said that it was hers.
