A recent report from PWInsider.com claims that a “NXT Takeover” event may take place during “WrestleMania week” 2015. As previously reported, WWE is planning on doing at least one “NXT Takeover” event quarterly, and the first one of 2015 may be booked for the week leading into March 29’s WrestleMania 31.

The last “NXT Takeover” special event of 2014 will take place on Dec. 11. WWE is discussing having the first of 2015 in the San Francisco area and doing something in conjunction with WrestleMania Axxess. Axxess is a fan-driven event, which has featured NXT matches in the past, but nothing like a fully produced, live broadcast.

If WWE were to run the NXT special during WrestleMania week, NXT superstars would get to perform on a bigger stage, likely because the event would have to be booked in a larger arena than the facility currently used at Full Sail University. Also, more eyes would see the show live and the crowd would be crazy. WrestleMania attendees are known for being super-fans that are louder than most crowds at smaller events. The idea is currently being looked at as a win-win situation for the company, if they could pull it off without it costing too much to produce.

Editor’s Note:
That would be awesome to see “NXT Takeover” happen during WrestleMania week!
