CM PUNK Promo: MARKED OUT!

Punk brings out the Kendo Stick, and lashes his tongue for about 6 minutes in this one. The lashing was aimed at Heyman and Axel of course, and it built nicely to next Sunday’s Night of Champions bout between the three men.

NATALYA vs. NAOMI vs. BRIE BELLA #1 Contenders Triple-Threat Match: MARKED OUT!

Yeah…so the Divas aren’t such a “check out” segment anymore. AJ Lee interrupts this bout, so there was no winner, but all three of these women will now face Lee at Night of Champions in a Fatal 4-Way battle for the Divas Championship. Maybe Nattie will walk away Champion in a little over a week, at least that’d be my prediction.

ROB VAN DAM def. DAMIEN SANDOW: MARKED OUT!

Awesome match, got Del Rio out, and a 5 Star got the pin. Overall good stuff. NEXT!

DANIEL BRYAN def. THE BIG SHOW via DQ: MARKED OUT!

Again, Bryan wins by DQ and is on his back to end the show. I’m fine with that. The payoff is coming.

Show is thrown into the story here, which will of course lead to a Triple H/Show match at some point, maybe at Battleground. If Show costs Orton the WWE Title at NoC, then you could see Triple H facing the big man at Battleground for sure.

That could all play out 2-5 weeks longer and culminate at either Hell in a Cell or Survivor Series, but I have to think we have Show on Team Bryan when we get a classic Survivor Series elimination match on the card for that PPV. Team Bryan vs Team Orton. Bryan, Ziggler, RVD, Show, Henry (if he’s back, if not Kofi) vs Orton, The Shield, Ryback.

RAW 09/02/13 OVERALL: MARKED OUT!

I know there were some slow moments, but was this show REALLY as bad as everyone is trying to say that it was? Really?

Characters are being built for the FUTURE of the company. Rhodes will finally be built into someone they can use. Ziggler, same thing. Everyone involved in this Daniel Bryan storyline should come out shining on the other side.

Yes the ending has been the same for the last 3 weeks. Orton stands tall, Bryan lays on the ground. Maybe you don’t see the light at the end of what could be a 4-7 month long tunnel…but you’re witnessing the establishment of a new face of the company. A new top babyface, which was terribly needed. Just wait. The payoff to this angle will be epic. Just wait.

Overall though – Good show.
