New reports coming out of Hollywood have explained why John Cena was not on the Nov. 3 edition of “Monday Night Raw.” As previously reported, Cena was believed to have missed the show due to his involvement in another project, and now it has been revealed where he was.
Cena missed the Nov. 3 “RAW” due to the filming schedule of popular NBC sitcom, “Parks & Recreation.” The Leader of the Cenation will be appearing on an episode of the long-running sitcom’s upcoming final season, although no details in regards to what type of role he’s playing, or when the episode will air have been released.
It’s believed that Cena got the role after striking up a great relationship with “Parks & Recreation” star Amy Poehler. He will be appearing in the upcoming film, “The Nest,” which features Poehler and former fellow “Saturday Night Live” alumnus Tiny Fey in the starring roles. Cena recently missed time off from WWE programming during his build to his “SummerSlam” showdown with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar to shoot his parts for the film.
Editor’s Note:
Looks like Cena will be following The Rock’s lead here soon. You think Roman Reigns will have a “once in a lifetime” (even though that’s impossible) match with Cena in 10 years, claiming Cena says he loves the WWE but is really a Hollywood guy? (The sarcasm…oh the sarcasm).
