Big E and Kofi Kingston May Join Xavier Woods With New Gimmick

As seen on “Monday Night Raw,” WWE Superstar Xavier Woods will be getting a new gimmick in the coming weeks.

On the episode, a vignette aired showing Woods with a James Brown-esque gimmick, with a choir behind him and flamboyant apparel as he danced in front of a mic. He preached about a “new day,” and changed his Twitter page to reflect the new gimmick.

According to various Internet reports, there is speculation within WWE Big E and Kofi Kingston may be part of his new gimmick.

The three have worked together as the “Smart Athletic Friends” at various WWE live events and dark matches both as heels and as faces. However, since being teased over the summer, the gimmick has yet to see a true debut on television. They did work a battle royal as a team without formally being introduced as such relatively recently, though nothing came of it.

It is believed the three will still be teamed up in some fashion, despite them not actually appearing together on-screen in sometime. It is unknown as to when his debut with the new gimmick will occur.
