Edge and Christian Will Host the Jan. 2 “Smackdown”

Edge and Christian will host the Jan. 2 “Smackdown” on SyFy. As previously reported, the former WWE Tag Team Champions will be hosting the Dec. 29 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” and have now also been added to the Dec. 30 “Smackdown” tapings the following night.

The duo recently appeared for WWE via the WWE Network, as they hosted a “15 Years of ‘Smackdown'” special. With random “RAW” general managers being used by the company each week since the removal of The Authority, E & C will be the next special hosts in line.

Although Christian is still listed as an active member of the main roster, he has not competed in an actual match since March where he won a Fatal Four Way Match to become the No. 1 Contender to the Intercontinental Championship. However, during the match, he suffered a mild concussion and has not wrestled since.
