Daniel Bryan is set to compete before “Royal Rumble” on Jan. 25. As previously reported, Bryan recently announced that he would be returning to active WWE competition at the annual January PPV event. However, he is now being advertised for WWE Live Events before the Rumble.
WWE officials originally were reportedly going to keep Bryan out of the ring until “Royal Rumble,” however now he’s slated to face Kane at a house show on Jan. 16 in St. Louis, Missouri. The event will take place at The Scottrade Center, and the arena’s official website is promoting the following card,
John Cena vs. Seth Rollins
Steel Cage Match
Roman Reigns vs. The Big Show
Daniel Bryan vs. Kane
Dean Ambrose vs. Bray Wyatt
Plus more of your favorite WWE Superstars including:
Chris Jericho
Cesaro
Jack Swagger
R Truth
The Divas
And Many More!
* Card is subject to change.”
Kane was originally scheduled to face Randy Orton at the event, but Orton recently went under-the-knife to fix a deviated septum and isn’t being advertised for another event until the Jan. 19 edition of “Monday Night Raw.” Bryan is not expected to begin another program with Kane following the show, but things could go that way if the company should feel like it’s the best thing creatively moving forward.
Bryan has also been added to the Abilene and San Antonio, TX live events that weekend as well. He’s also set to face Luke Harper during the Live Events scheduled for the weekend following the “Royal Rumble.”
Editor’s Note:
Bryan will return to the ring on Jan. 16! If anyone will be attending this event and would love to correspond for us, please do so. Images, reports, and videos can be sent to @wrestlerumros or [email protected].
