Batista Says CM Punk Will Be Back in WWE

In a recent interview promoting the upcoming film, “Guardians of the Galaxy,” Batista discussed his return to WWE. The interview also features a spot where Batista says CM Punk will be back in WWE.

While speaking with Digital Spy, Batista had the following to say about CM Punk (a close friend of his), and whether or not he’ll eventually return to WWE.

“I know for a fact that he loves professional wrestling, and I couldn’t see him taking a step down to wrestle for a lesser organization, unless he spent some time in Japan. I just, don’t see it. I think eventually he’ll come back. I think he belongs there. You know? I think the fans really love him and miss him, and I think he loves it and misses it. I’m really not sure why he left, but, yeah he’ll be back. I would think he would be back.”

When discussing his return following the movie promotion, Batista claims it’s a matter of “when” not “if.” He also chimes in on who should win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship between Brock Lesnar and John Cena at “SummerSlam,” saying that they out to do something with Lesnar following his conquering of “the Streak” at WrestleMania XXX, otherwise, “they’re idiots”[in reference to WWE].
