Former WCW and TNA World Heavyweight Champion Sting has appeared for WWE at the San Diego Comic-Con as a surprise guest! Casey M on Twitter sent WrestlingRumors.net an inside look at Sting appearing at SDCC, where he sat on a WWE panel alongside of formal in-ring rival Hulk Hogan, Daniel Bryan, and Paul Heyman. Soon thereafter, WWE confirmed his appearance with a special Instagram just before he went out to join the panel.

WWE would go on to Tweet images of Sting on the panel to their millions of fans worldwide, further solidifying his involvement with the company.

Sting was recently announced as the pre-order bonus character for “WWE 2K15,” and Triple H teased his debut for the company soon during an interview with Michael Cole.

Sting has been very vocal as of late about his desires to work for the company, saying that he would love to face the Undertaker at WrestleMania 31 in Santa Clara, Calif. on Mar. 29.

He has also said that he would love to face someone like John Cena or The Rock.

You can see that Sting is donning his new t-shirt being sold by Shop.WWE.com in the photographs featured above. WWE is also working on merchandise containing the moniker “The Man Called Sting” for future sales.

The panel Sting was featured on was one for WWE and Mattel, and the company unveiled a new Sting action figure. You can watch a video of Sting’s appearance below.

Editor’s Note:
This. Is. Awesome. And let me just say this, in regards to reports of Sting “not signing a WWE deal yet,” stop. Just stop. He’s OBVIOUSLY signed a contract with the company. Get over it.
