Bad News Barrett will be out of action for months and the Intercontinental Championship has been vacated. This was announced during the June 30 edition of “Monday Night Raw.”

Bad News Barrett suffered a separated shoulder during the June 24 “Smackdown” tapings, just days before his scheduled appearance during the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at “Money In The Bank.” The injury came at the hands of Jack Swagger throwing Barrett into the guard rail surrounding the ring a couple of times.

This is the second significant injury Barrett has sustained in a year’s time, which is not good news for the superstar. He had just re-joined his peers in competition, been received well by fans, and achieved a push in winning the Intercontinental Championship. He was also heavily favored to win the Money in the Bank briefcase at “Money In The Bank” before suffering the injury.

Barrett will be out for months. WrestlingRumors.net will keep you up-to-date on his recovery.

As for the Intercontinental Championship, it will be decided for in a Battle Royal at “Battleground” on July 20.
