As we reported last month, Japanese sensation KENTA is set to make his debut with WWE later this summer, presumably in the month of August.

WWE has a tour of Japan scheduled for the second week of July. PWInsider.com is reporting that a major press conference has been scheduled for July 12 to announce the official signing of KENTA to the company.

There will be a show in Tokyo on July 11th and one in Osaka on the 12th.

Whether or not KENTA will have to work a stint in NXT developmental or be brought up to the main roster immediately is still up in the air.

KENTA is a former GHC Heavyweight Champion, GHC Junior Heavyweight Champion and GHC Tag Team Champion. He’s also the originator of the Go 2 Sleep, a finishing move used in WWE by former superstar CM Punk.

Editor’s Note

KENTA vs. Daniel Bryan. KENTA vs. Seth Rollins. KENTA vs. Cesaro. The possibilities are endless. Here’s hoping WWE doesn’t “Sin Cara” the run of KENTA, though.
