WWE superstar Alexander Rusev will now be referred to as simply “Rusev.” Rusev debuted on the WWE main roster in 2014 as “Alexander Rusev,” however the company officially shortened his name during the May 5 edition of “Monday Night Raw.” Rusev is now the third superstar in the last five months to get their name abbreviated by WWE, as they also gave “Big E” and “Cesaro” the same treatment recently.
Rusev’s name would be condensed on his name plate for the first time during his entrance during “Monday Night Raw.” Also, the “Bulgarian Brute’s” official superstar page on WWE.com has been updated to only feature “Rusev” as his name.
Rusev made his WWE main roster debut in 2014, and has been dominating every opponent he has faced in the ring. On May 4, Rusev defeated R-Truth and Xavier Woods in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match, only to turn around and squash Kofi Kingston the following evening on “Monday Night Raw.”
Editor’s Note:
I mean…are they just going to keep doing this to everyone? Do they feel like the WWE Universe is just simply filled with a bunch of simpletons that cannot remember more than juts a single name? Ugh.
