Additional reports claiming Sting has signed a WWE Legends contract have hit the web. A new statement from Anthony DiMoro of SportsRants.com eludes to Sting’s WWE deal, what he expects from his upcoming run, and more.
In regards to Sting signing a WWE Legends contract, DiMoro says,
“I have heard it from a good source that Sting and WWE have actually agreed to a deal, including a WWE Hall of Fame induction. The Hall of Fame induction may not come in 2014, but possibly 2015 as WWE may want to feature Sting and get the fanbase familiar with him on WWE Television over the next year so that his induction is even more special. I anticipate a career DVD will also be in the mix later this year as well as a heavy presence of Sting on WWE Network.”
This is but another report coming out since Jan. 27 that claims Sting and World Wrestling Entertainment have agreed to a deal. PWInsider.com and Rob Feinstein of RFVideo.com started the media fire around these reports, initially claiming Sting had been negotiating terms with WWE officials for a few weeks trying to get the contract that he wanted. The number of dates that he would work, and the things that he is willing to do creatively being the key components to those negotiations, it seems as if both parties have come to an agreement, and Sting will soon be a part of the WWE brand.
