A big heel turn took place during the Jan. 28 tapings of “Smackdown.” The Prime Time Players are seemingly no more, as Titus O’Neil attacked his former partner Darren Young following a match with RyBaxel during the tapings, which will air on Friday, Jan. 31.

During the match between RyBaxel and PTP, O’Neil purposefully does not help Young. He then argues with Young and begins to leave ringside. With his mouth busted open, Young asks O’Neil why he was doing this, saying they are like family.

O’Neil then responds in true heel fashion by saying that he is sick of being a loser, and that he wants to be a champion in WWE. After calling Young dead weight, he beats his partner down and seemingly knocks him out cold before leaving the ring.

Rumors of a singles push for O’Neil have been circulating for some time now, and it seems as if the former Florida Gator will now be featured in WWE competition on his own.
