It had been previously reported that Vince McMahon had resigned from his positions at both TKO and WWE following the lawsuit that had been filed against him by a former female staffer. The dominoes from this lawsuit continue, as one of WWE’s biggest sponsors, Slim Jim, will not be doing business with the company for the foreseeable future.

They issued the following statement:

Slim Jim values integrity and respect in all of our partnerships. Given the recent disturbing allegations against Vince McMahon, at this time we’ve decided to pause our promotional activities with WWE. This decision reflects our commitment to our brand values and responsibility to our community.

We will continue to monitor the situation and base our future engagements on our values and what’s best for our brand.

Slim Jim has been a partner with WWE for years; there are now famous ads featuring ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage consuming the product.

This is a developing story. We will post updates as we know them.

Editor’s Opinion:

I have a feeling that this will be the first of many sponsorships that WWE may lose in the coming weeks. Furthermore, I have a strange feeling that this goes far beyond Vince McMahon and that we may see a revolutionary change within the company before this entire thing is over.
