Maybe Last Time: Bianca Belair Reveals WrestleMania Title Match Was Moved To SmackDown

The other lineup. There is no wrestling show bigger than WrestleMania, which is the most important event of the year. More often than not, tens of thousands of be on hand to take in the show and it can be a huge deal for a wrestler to be on the show. It can be rather devastating to be moved off of the show and now we know another case of that taking place.

During a recent interview on the MMA Hour, WWE’s Bianca Belair revealed that her husband Montez Ford had his match removed from the WrestleMania 37 card. Ford, along with Street Profits partner Angelo Parker, was scheduled to challenge SmackDown Tag Team Champions Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler in a four way match, also involving Chad Gable/Otis and the Mysterios. Due to timing issues, the match was moved to the SmackDown before WrestleMania with the champions retaining. Belair said that Ford had special gear made and had his family coming in for the event.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that happens every so often and it is a shame, but also understandable. WrestleMania 37 wound up being over five hours long, not counting a two hour Kickoff Show. That made for an incredibly long night and moving the Tag Team Title match, while annoying for the wrestlers, was the right move. If nothing else, it was nice to see them getting some extra time on a still large scale, which probably helped things a lot.
