Clearly, each individual has their own priorities.

It had been previously reported that Rusev was going to make an appearance on tonight’s episode of “Smackdown Live,” to demand that Commissioner Shane McMahon gives him a WWE Championship opportunity at “Money In The Bank.” However, things did not go exactly as planned.

Rusev was neither on the show, or on “Talking Smack.”

He would later send a tweet to explain where he was. Apparently, the “Bulgarian Brute” attend Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals of the 2017 National Hockey League Stanley Cup Finals, featuring the Nashville Predators and the Anaheim Ducks:

Nashville defeated Anaheim 2-1, to take a 2-1 lead in the series.

It is unknown at this time when Rusev will be on WWE programming next, or if his absence will be addressed by the company.

Rusev demands a WWE Championship Match at Money in the Bank: SmackDown LIVE, April 25, 2017

Editor’s Note:

I cannot figure out if this is a work or not. Was Rusev never intending to show up on “Smackdown Live,” in order to troll the fans, or did he make a last minute decision to not attend the show? I am very curious to see how this situation is handled, if it is at all.
