This is only a rumor, so take it for what it’s worth. In one of the major segments of Raw this week, Matt Hardy was attacked by Randy Orton and given a con-chair-to, in a similar fashion to Edge a couple of weeks ago.

According to a report from Pro Wrestling Sheetthis was used to write Hardy off of television, as his WWE contract is coming to an end and he is not expected to re-sign with the company. He would take to social media to send a very cryptic Tweet:

The tweet also included a link to the latest “Free The Delete” episode on YouTube, which includes a possible teaser on him being “The Exalted One” for The Dark Order in AEW.

According to a report from Wrestling Inc., the contract negotiations between WWE and Hardy were having to do with creative issues, as opposed to money.

You can see a couple of videos from the segment below:

Hardy delivered a passionate and empowering speech before the attack from Orton.

We will continue to monitor this story and provide any updates as they become available to us.

Editor’s Opinion:

I don’t blame him for wanting out one bit. His return at WrestleMania 32 was amazing, but after that, the Woken character was never allowed to reach its full potential. I’m sure that whatever he does next, it will be some of his best work yet, and I can’t wait to see it!
