That’s the kind of thing that makes it special. There are very few wrestling promotions in the world today that are as revered as NXT. The promotion has gone from little more than a dumping ground for wrestlers with nothing else to do to one of the most popular and well received places in the wrestling world. There are a wide variety of reasons for this being the case, but one of them was on display over the weekend.

There have been a lot of wrestlers over the years in WWE. With so much history and so many wrestlers who have been around for such a short amount of time, you are bound to forget a wrestler or two here or there. At the same time though, there are going to be a lot of wrestlers that you remember just as well. That is the kind of thing that can bring about some strong nostalgia and that was recently the case.

NXT held a live even in Phoenix, Arizona on Friday where former Tag Team Champion Scotty 2 Hotty made an appearance. Following a main event of DIY defeating the Undisputed Era via DQ, Scotty came into the ring and did the Worm before celebrating with the winners, plus the Broserweights who had come in for a save. Scotty has made a few cameo appearances for WWE since leaving the company, including challenging for the NXT Tag Team Titles at Arrival in February 2014.

It was a cool appearance. Check out Scotty’s dancing abilities:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that makes for a fun moment that doesn’t hurt anything. Scotty didn’t take any spot away from a bigger name and gave the fans something to smile about. It gives the fans a feeling that they might see something cool at a show and that might make them want to buy a ticket. It’s a nice moment and it doesn’t hurt anything so well done for NXT.

Do you like the cameo? Who else would you like to see appear? Let us know in the comments below.
