It has been
previously reported that Triple H wants to sign Ronda Rousey to a WWE contract. It would appear that this may be happening sooner rather than later.
According to a report from USA Today, Rousey is currently finalizing a deal that would bring her to WWE, and that the move is “imminent.”
She has made several appearances with the company recently; most notably was at the “Mae Young Classic” this past summer. You can see a clip of an encounter below:
Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch & Bayley confront Ronda Rousey, M.Shafir & J. Duke: Sept. 5, 2017
From the article:
“I love Ronda, and anything she can do to make money for her and her new husband then I am rooting for her,” longtime friend and legendary wrestler, martial artist and stuntman Gene Le Bell said. “She will get a lot of money and that’s great.”
Le Bell said rather than being a permanent member of the staff, Rousey might be most effective as a spot wrestler, making occasional appearance at high-profile events.
Rousey is also good friends with Shayna Baszler, who she supported in the tournament.
Editor’s Opinion:
This is not surprising in any way, shape or form. I think most people knew that her coming to WWE would be happening; it was just a question of when.
