Although the exact reason is currently unknown, WWE superstar Hornswoggle has been suspended for 30 days for his first violation of their wellness policy. WWE released the following statement earlier today:

“In accordance with its Talent Wellness Program, WWE has suspended Dylan Postl (Hornswoggle) for 30 days, effective immediately, for his first violation of the company’s policy.”

Hornswoggle has been seen in various roles on WWE programming over the past few years, mostly involved in mid-card storylines with 3MB and Los Matadores. His last two biggest storylines were when he was revealed to be the anonymous “Raw” General Manager in July 2012, as well as discovering that Vince McMahon was his father in 2008.

Fortunately for WWE, this is the first time that a superstar has violated their wellness policy in a long time. Former superstar Ricardo Rodriguez was suspended in July 2013, while Evan Bourne, Rey Mysterio, Chris Jericho and Randy Orton were all suspended in 2012.

Editor’s Note:

I had forgotten that Hornswoggle was even a WWE employee. However, I am glad to see that the company continues to take their wellness policy seriously for all members of their talent roster. It sets a good example to the kids that watch the product, as well as maintains a positive image with the shareholders.
