We, unfortunately, have some sad news to report.

In 2015, the WWE Universe was introduced to a young man named Elijah Mainville. Elijah was 8 years old at the time, and was a huge WWE fan. So much so, that he submitted an audition video to participate in the company’s reality series, “Tough Enough” that year.

However, on November 5, 2010, he was also diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma.

His story captivated WWE officials, and as a result of his courage and bravery, Elijah was offered a WWE contract by Triple H and Stephanie McMahon after an episode of “Monday Night Raw” in 2015:

Unfortunately, Elijah lost his battle cancer this past weekend, and passed away at the age of 9.

The family has established a GoFundMe account to help pay for the upcoming funeral costs for this brave young man. You can find more information about Elijah and his story at this link.

Cody Rhodes offered his thoughts on this terrible situation:

We at Wrestling Rumors offer are deepest condolences to the entire Mainville family during this difficult time.
