Are you ready? Tonight on Raw, it was officially announced that Shawn Michaels will return to in-ring competition for the first time since 2010. He will be re-forming Degeneration-X with his best friend, Triple H, to take on The Undertaker and Kane at the Crown Jewel pay-per-view on November 2.
You can see the announcement in the video below:
This match had been previously rumored, but was confirmed this evening.
WWE.com had the following to say about the match:
The storm between these two dominate forces raged after a cataclysmic Last Time Ever clashat WWE Super Show-Down. Michaels and Kane did a lot more than watch from the sidelines as Triple H and The Undertaker battled it out in a hellacious No Disqualification Match, which concluded with HBK helping his DX brethren score the victory. As the four Superstars stood together in the ring, it appeared both sides had made their peace and were ready to move on. That is, until The Deadman and The Big Red Machine unloaded pure fury on Michaels and The Game, leaving a trail of broken tables and battered frames in their wake. After the chaos of the earth-shattering confrontation, a demolition derby awaits when these generational icons collide at the King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Friday, Nov. 2.
Editor’s Opinion:
While I don’t expect this to be a technical clinic, this is going to be fantastic. The nostalgia that myself and many other wrestling fans will feel is going to be incredible, as we get to relive our childhoods for one night only. And if you’re not down with that, we got two words for ya!!
