In Australia, Daniel Bryan defeated The Miz with a small package to become the No. 1 Contender for the WWE Championship. WWE announced almost immediately that the title match between AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan will take place in a few weeks at ‘Crown Jewel’ in Saudi Arabia. However, there’s speculation about Bryan’s upcoming title shot.

According to a report from Rajah, the plan was for AJ Styles to defeat Samoa Joe once and for all in Australia. Bryan was always the next challenger for the WWE Title, but it didn’t happen as the WWE Universe expected. A lot of fans are excited to see AJ Styles vs. Daniel Bryan, but some people are wondering why Bryan beat The Miz so quickly.

A different report from RingSideNews claims that Bryan vs. Miz was cut short because the show was running long. WWE officials didn’t want to cut any of the Triple H versus The Undertaker match. That was the headliner, so it would have been bad business to take time away from it. For that reason, Bryan vs. Miz became a very short matchup.

Any reports or rumors about Daniel Bryan being injured heading into the match aren’t true. They’re proven untrue by the very fact that Bryan walked out of Australia with the victory. Honestly, most fans are upset with the match in defense of The Miz. His booking was strong during the feud. It’s confusing to see him lose like that to conclude the feud.
