I can count really high too. I don’t think there’s any secret to the fact that WWE is the biggest wrestling organization in the world. They run events in every region of the planet and for the most part, a lot of people come to see them. That includes this weekend in Australia with Super Show-Down, the first major show in the country in sixteen years. As usual though, there’s a question about how many people actually came to see them.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the actual attendance for Super Show-Down was somewhere around 62,000. The announced attendance was said to be 70,309 during the broadcast, though WWE has a tendency to alter their figures at times. The event is still one of the highest attended events in WWE history and another high for the year, after WrestleMania 34’s 78,133 and the Greatest Royal Rumble’s 60,000.

They saw a pretty good show.

Opinion: I know there are going to be people on both sides arguing about the actual attendance as Meltzer has been a stickler about such a thing for about thirty years now. I’ve never been one to care all that much, as the general summation would be “a whole lot of people” and the more important number is how many people would pay to see it again. If that number is high, WWE is in good shape.
