It would appear that he’s not just there for show. According to the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the head of the AEW Women’s Division in place.

Newly hired Executive Vice President, Kenny Omega, will be in charge of the AEW Women’s division. Dave Meltzer has noted that while Omega has recommended the talent, Chief Brand Officer Brandi Rhodes is doing the negotiations with the female talent.

Omega is certainly excited about his new opportunities:

Editor’s Opinion:

I guess I feel two ways about this. I would think that because of the fact that it is the Women’s Division, Brandi would make more sense to be in charge of it, as she has experience both in the ring and on the business side of things. On the other hand, you cannot deny the talent and wrestling mind that Omega has and if you combine his wrestling knowledge with Brandi’s financial mind, it could be a very powerful combination.
