Things may be getting worse for “Impact Wrestling” before they get better.
The lawsuit has been sealed and only a few details have leaked. A temporary restraining order was approved in order to prevent all sides from speaking publicly, and a hearing for a temporary injunction has been set for October 20th. Court documents also reveal that Corgan requested a six-person jury to decide the case.
This lawsuit arrives during a troubled time for TNA. Several rumors have suggested that the company might be sold soon, with Corgan, WWE, as well as “Broken” Matt Hardy, all reported to be prospective buyers.
Reports also suggest that there was extreme tension between Corgan and Carter during the weekend of “Bound For Glory” due to speculation that the event might not happen because of insufficient funding.
We will continue to monitor this story and provide updates as they become available.
Editor’s Note:
Dear Mr. MeekMahan…please purchase TNA to end this drama. Thanks.
