It had been previously reported that Rich Swann had been suspended by WWE, following an arrest last weekend on charges of battery and false imprisonment.

According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there has been mixed feelings in the locker room about the incident.

While many were shocked by what happened, others who knew the couple well from their past described them as two people who were “broken” due to events in their lives before wrestling. They found love in each other, but unfortunately, the relationship was combustible.

It was described as a very unfortunate situation because in the end, his career in WWE may be over for good.

Swann’s attorney, Ian M. Pickens, issued the following statement to the Sporting News:

“At this point, no criminal charges have been filed officially against him so depending on how that process plays out will determine our scope of representation,” Pickens said Friday morning in a telephone interview.

“We’re hopeful for a fair and quick resolution on behalf of Mr. Swann, but ultimately the state attorney will make their decision (on potential charges) when they deem it appropriate.

“We’re working on the case now and things we may do to assist Mr. Swann. But as far as specifics, I can’t comment on that.”

We will continue to monitor this story and provide updates as they become available to us.
