Some people have a drive that just won’t quit. According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jerry “The King” Lawler is in need of double knee replacement surgery, but will not be undergoing the procedure.
He, in fact, will continue to compete in the ring.
Here’s a clip of him in a heated rivalry with Michael Cole from 2013:
The King has made sporadic appearances with WWE, mostly as a member of various kick-off panels prior to pay-per-view events. However, has not competed in a match with them in quite some time.
Lawler was most recently in the news when it was reported that his son, Brian, took his own life while being in person for a Disorderly Conduct charge.
Editor’s Opinion:
No matter where he goes, he will always be a draw and people will always look forward to seeing him. The King is one of the most legendary figures in the history of professional wrestling, both on the mic and in the ring, and is always entertaining, no matter what he does!
