Vince McMahon Very High on Bad News Barrett

According to a report by F4WOnline.com, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is very high on the work of Bad News Barrett and the gimmick in general.

His stock went up in a huge way following his promo at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony during WrestleMania XXX weekend.

Barrett will face Rob Van Dam this Monday night on “RAW” in the finals of the No. 1 Contender Intercontinental Championship tournament. The winner will move on to “WWE Extreme Rules” on May 4 to challenge Big E for the gold.

We reported here at WrestlingRumors.net that RVD is likely to face Cesaro and Jack Swagger in a Triple Threat match at “Extreme Rules,” leading one to believe that Barrett will emerge victorious in the tournament.

There’s no way of knowing for sure until the special event on May 4, but one would have to assume that Bad News Barrett will win the Intercontinental Championship next weekend. Winning a mid-card title that hasn’t been treated with the utmost importance in recent years doesn’t signify a major push, but it’s definitely a step in the right direction.
