During a recent appearance on Colt Cabana’s “The Art of Wrestling” podcast, former WWE superstar CM Punk went in-depth on his departure from the company back in January.

Near the end of the interview, Punk mentioned how he had lost touch with some former colleagues in WWE because he was worried that all they would want now is an exclusive interview to gain hits for their websites.

One of those colleagues is Chris Jericho, who currently runs the “Talk is Jericho” podcast. Punk claimed Y2J contacted him after leaving World Wrestling Entertainment, although he believed that he had some sort of hidden agenda.

To put that story to rest, Jericho made the following video to address it personally.

Perhaps the most interesting note to take away is that Jericho had Punk scheduled to do his show in December, although that was prior to him walking out on WWE.

According to Chris, he never asked Punk to appear again after that.

Editor’s Note

This CM Punk story won’t go away, will it? There were so many little tidbits and hints sprinkled throughout the two-hour interview that we’ll be dissecting it for a long, long time.
