During a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio with Dave Meltzer,  a report emerged over WWE being interested in having Ryback face Triple one-on-one at “Royal Rumble” on Jan. 25.

That may not be the case any longer.

Per F4WOnline.com, WWE officials have soured on the potential match.

The new report notes that Ryback’s recent bout with Cesaro during the Nov. 17 edition of “Monday Night Raw” was enough to show the higher-ups that he’s not ready to step into the ring for a program with WWE’s COO.

At WWE “Survivor Series,” Ryback was the first member of Team Cena eliminated in the night’s main event. That could also be a sign that his assumed push is being tossed to the wayside.

He will face Kane in a Chairs match at “WWE: Tables, Ladders & Chairs” on Dec. 13.

Editor’s Note

Triple H doesn’t compete against just anyone. I’m not surprised by there being reluctance on WWE’s part for making this match a reality. Ryback is rather reckless and could be a liability. I would steer clear and keep HHH for Roman Reigns, Sting or Daniel Bryan upon their returns.
