We here at WrestlingRumors.net recently reported that CM Punk told Chairman Vince McMahon this past Monday night that he was ‘going home’. He was then pulled from all upcoming WWE House Shows and Live Events.

Now, according to ProWrestling.net, Punk’s absence, for what would appear to be the foreseeable future, has caused a shift in plans for the upcoming WrestleMania 30 card.

A match between CM Punk and Triple H was originally set to be in the works, but now it looks Punk will be replaced by none other than Daniel Bryan, leading to a final encounter with the COO of the company in New Orleans.

A Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus match was reportedly what the WWE wanted to go with for the big show, but the aforementioned CM Punk story has caused the company to go in a different direction.

Bryan and Triple H had an in-ring confrontation on the Jan. 27 edition of Monday Night RAW, leading to HHH calling out The Shield to attack the bearded superstar.

It was HHH who cost Bryan the WWE Championship at SummerSlam after delivering a vicious pedigree. He then stripped Bryan of the gold after a controversial finish to his match with Randy Orton at the Night of Champions PPV.

There is plenty of backstory to a Bryan/HHH feud that could very well culminate with a singles match at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on April 6.
