It was a gutsy move on the part of WWE COO Triple H to take the NXT brand and move it from the confines of Full Sail University to an arena like Barclays Center. That decision appears to have paid off in a big way, though.

His wife Stephanie McMahon also chimed in on the big news.
Woohoo! I couldn’t be more proud of everyone involved in @WWENXT especially the @WWEUniverse! #ThankYou #WeAreNXT! https://t.co/yOoD4F4RyD — Stephanie McMahon (@StephMcMahon) August 10, 2015
Dave Meltzer of PWInsider.com originally reported that the plan for the big event was to configure the building for 6,000 seats. However, with the enormous demand for tickets, WWE decided to open up the entire Barclays Center instead.
Matches confirmed for the card include:
NXT Championship (Ladder Match): Finn Balor (c) vs. Kevin Owens
NXT Women’s Championship: Sasha Banks (c) vs. Bayley
NXT Tag Team Championship: Blake & Murphy vs. The Vaudevillians
Jushin “Thunder” Liger vs. Tyler Breeze
Rumored: Samoa Joe vs. Baron Corbin
“NXT Takeover: Brooklyn” will take place on Aug. 22, one night before WWE “SummerSlam” on Aug. 23.
Editor’s Note
I REALLY hope this means more “NXT Takeover” specials will be held in large-scale arenas.
