According to a report by PWInsider.com, we may have seen the last from NXT star Corey Graves as an in-ring performer for the company.

Graves is currently on the sidelines after suffering a second concussion.

His last match was during the NXT television tapings on Mar. 13 when he defeated Sami Zayn via submission.

WWE officials are currently looking for a non-wrestling role for Graves which could be anything from being an announcer to being paired up with another star in a managerial role.

He was even rumored to be a surprise third member of The Shield when Seth Rollins turned on the group, but that obviously never came to fruition.

Graves is a former NXT Tag Team Champion with current NXT Champion Adrian Neville. He also won the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship with Jake Carter.

Editor’s Note

What a shame. Graves hasn’t been featured on any of the NXT special events, but at least now we have a legitimate reason for his absence. You can never be too sure with concussions. While we haven’t heard any official word from Graves himself, the aforementioned report does point to him never being able to wrestle again. It makes a lot of sense.
