Randy Orton suffered a major cut at some point during the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Ladder match at “WWE Money in the Bank” on Sunday night.

Referees and medical staff tended to Orton at ringside to help stop the bleeding while nearby cameras looked to avoid the proceedings.

The cut re-opened by the end of the match, though. With Orton being involved in the finish, WWE had no choice but to show “The Viper” in all his crimson glory.

Following the bout, Orton headed backstage and received 12 staples to close the wound on his head.

Orton isn’t expected to miss any time because of this.

John Cena emerged victorious in the end, winning his 15th WWE World Heavyweight Championship to close the show.
