Wrestlezone.com was first to report that the Divas Revolution, which is currently playing out on weekly television, wasn’t originally designed the way it currently is. The Team Bella vs. Team PCB vs. Team B.A.D. storyline was never meant to happen, as NXT upstart Charlotte was going to capture the Divas Championship from Nikki upon her debut.
She would then dominate the women’s division for the foreseeable future, along with Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks.
Nikki’s boyfriend, 15-time World Champion John Cena, reportedly went to Chairman Vince McMahon to politic on her behalf, keeping the gold around her waist and her spot in the division intact.
She’s obviously been made aware of these reports, responding to her skeptics recently on her official Twitter account:

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio said during a recent airing that he was unaware of the aforementioned reports/rumors, and can’t validate their legitimacy.
Nikki has fewer than 20 days to go to break AJ Lee’s 295-day reign as Divas Champion.
Editor’s Note
It’s a constant battle for Nikki as she looks for respect from hardcore WWE fans. These reports don’t help her cause, whether they’re true or not.
