The record is now hers to own.
Nikki Bella officially became the longest-reigning WWE Divas Champion in company history Tuesday, surpassing AJ Lee’s record of 295 days.

This came on the heels of her title defense Monday night on “Raw” against Team PCB member Charlotte, who was originally declared the victor before Stephanie McMahon emerged to reverse the decision.
In a failed attempt at “Twin Magic,” Charlotte actually wound up pinning Brie Bella instead of her sister, winning the Divas Championship before Stephanie came out to crush her moment.
There will, however, be a rematch between Nikki and Charlotte at WWE “Night of Champions” on Sept. 20 in Houston. If Nikki loses the match via count-out or disqualification, her opponent will be crowned the new champion.
Nikki became Divas Champion for a second time at “Survivor Series” on Nov. 23, 2014. Her last televised title defense prior to “Raw” was at the “Beast in the East” special event overseas.
