According to a report by TNAInsider.com, former WWE NXT talent and Ascension member Kenneth Cameron worked a dark match for TNA during their “One Night Only: Xtravaganza” pay-per-view taping this past Saturday.
Cameron, real name Tom Latimer, competed against local Florida independent wrestler Aaron Solo.
He was released from World Wrestling Entertainment on November 30, 2012 after being charged with battery of a law enforcement officer and disorderly intoxication. Latimer had previously been arrested for a DUI in Jan. 2011.
Over the past several months, Latimer has been working the independent circuit under the Kenneth Cameron name, wrestling for WXW and NWA FUW.
Editor’s Note
Ethan Carter III, formerly Derrick Bateman in NXT, is another ex-WWE guy that TNA took a flyer on. That decision ultimately paid off as Carter III is now one of the fastest-rising stars in the company. Cameron’s past may come back to haunt him, so there’s no way of knowing if TNA will offer him a contract as of yet. They may need to see more from the 27-year-old out of Chesterfield, England.
